  • Can the new Starbucks App support all iOS devices?

    Before downloading the app, please make sure that your iOS device is at least an iPhone 4 or iPod Touch 3 with the operation system of iOS 8.0 or higher. The new Starbucks App is adaptive to iPhone 6 and 6 plus, and can also support iPads (but not at the optimum version).

  • Which devices and iOS versions are supported by the Starbucks China Mobile App for iOS?

    The Starbucks China Mobile App is available for iPhone 4+ and iPod Touch 3+ running iOS 10.0 or above. While you may attempt to use the app on your iPad, our app is not officially supported or optimized for tablets.

  • Can the new Starbucks App support all Android devices?

    Before downloading the app, please make sure that the operating system of your Android device is at least Android 5.0 or higher, Android Versions 6.0 and up are not yet supported. Although this app supports a wide range of Android devices, we would recommend using devices like HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S3/4/5, Samsung Galaxy Note 2/3, Xiaomi3, Meizu and LG for a better experience. If your phone is not included in the above and cannot properly operate our app, this may be due to the limitations of hardware or software (such as the old versions of the both, or you may have some customizations on the software).

  • What happens if I download the new Android app but I already have the old Android app?

    We no longer support the previous version of our Android app. If you had downloaded our Android app previously, please delete this app from your device and get our new app today. Our app can be downloaded from any of the Android app stores.

  • What do I do if I have trouble downloading the app?

    If you are unable to download the app, please contact the iOS or Android app store customer service you wish to download it from or try again at a later time.

  • Do I need my password from the previous app to use the new Starbucks China Mobile App?

    Not anymore. The only password you need is your Starbucks Rewards™ account password. General app features, such as Store Locator and Inbox do not require a password.

  • How do I remove personal data from my phone when I no longer wish to use the phone?

    Signing out of the Starbucks China Mobile App from the settings or removing the app from your phone will remove all personal data relating to Starbucks Rewards™ from your phone. However, Starbucks recommends that you perform a full factory reset before selling or giving away your phone to protect your personal information.

  • Which Starbucks Rewards™ features are in this app?

    With the Starbucks China Mobile App, you can check on your membership level, Star count, available Rewards with expiration date, Anniversary date and transaction history. You can also manage and update your account profile. And app users can register a new Starbucks Rewards™ account anytime anywhere.

  • How do I connect my Starbucks Rewards™ account to the app?

    Connecting your account is simple. Just enter your Starbucks Rewards™ username or email and password to connect to the new app.

  • How do I sign out of my Starbucks Rewards™ account from the app?

    To sign out of your Starbucks Rewards™ account, simply go to settings and tap sign out. This will remove all stored information from your phone. When you sign in again, this information will be restored.

  • How can I change my personal information of Starbucks Rewards™ account?

    On the iPhone, to change your Starbucks Rewards™ account details, go to Me>Settings > Account and Security within the Starbucks China App.Please understand, your birthday may not be changed after registration. On an Android device, to change your Starbucks Rewards™ account details, go to Me> Settings > Account and Security within the Starbucks China App. Please understand, your birthday may not be changed after registration.

  • In my Starbucks Rewards™ status page, what does the "Gold until date" mean?

    This date indicates how long you will retain Gold membership status. Once you have reached 16 Stars in a year, your Gold until date will be extended.

  • Why are some of my Starbucks Rewards™ benefits not appearing in the mobile app?

    Although on the web you will see all rewards, the mobile app will only show rewards that are currently available for redemption. It may take up to 24 hours for new Rewards to appear in or for redeemed Rewards to disappear from the app once redeemed.

  • Can I change the “live” card of my Starbucks Rewards™ account through the app?

    Please visit the “Starbucks Rewards Card” mobile page, go to “me”page and tap on “>”symbol on the right of the account section, then tap on the up right card symbol to choose amongst your dormant cards which you would like to activate as your live Starbucks Rewards card.

  • Can I report a lost, stolen or damaged Starbucks Rewards™ card through the app?

    This is not supported through the app at this time. Please visit www.gdg-coworking.com/en/account/ to report lost, stolen or damaged cards.

  • Can I delete a card from my Starbucks Rewards™ account through the app?

    You cannot delete any card from your Starbucks Rewards™ account through the app. Please visit www.gdg-coworking.com/en/account/ to delete a card.

  • Can I close my Starbucks Rewards™ account through the app?

    At this time, Starbucks Rewards™ accounts cannot be closed through this app. Please visit www.gdg-coworking.com/en/account/ if you wish to deactivate your account.

  • What if the information in my Starbucks Rewards™ account is not accurate or complete, such as transactions, Star count, or membership level?

    Please note that sometimes data may take up to 24 hours to show up in the app. If data is missing or inaccurate, please contact the Starbucks Customer Care Center at 400-820-6998. Hours of operation are 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM 7 days a week. The Customer Care Center is closed on public holidays.

  • What can I do with the Store Locator in the app?

    The Store Locator allows you to find Starbucks Stores using GPS or search and will also provide Store details. Store details include address, hours, and directions. You may also share your Starbucks experience with friends by checking into a Starbucks Store on Sina Weibo, WeChat Moments, or share directly to a friend or group using WeChat messaging.

  • How can I use the app to find the closest Starbucks store near me?

    When you open the app, we will automatically display the Store closest to you on the dashboard. Tap this item to be directed to the map view and see a full list of Stores near by. You may also navigate to Stores from the main menu and refresh your location by pressing the green arrow on the bottom of the map. Please make sure that your device location services are enabled in your device settings. For iOS devices, this can be found in the Settings app. To enable location servers, navigate to Settings> Privacy>Location Services. Make sure location services are turned for both your device and our app located in the list view shown. Location settings on Android phones vary by device manufacturer. Please check your device settings section or consult your device manual if you unable to find location settings.

  • How can I search for Starbucks stores if I am not using location services?

    Please navigate to Stores from the main menu and enter the city, or street name with city name, into the search field. On iPhone devices please press Search in the lower right on the keyboard. For Android devices tap Done also located in the lower right corner of the keyboard.

  • Why aren't Starbucks stores near me showing up on the Store Locator map?

    If you cannot find any stores nearby, you may be too far away from the nearest store or your GPS signal may be weak. Check that your Location Services are turned on or search for a Store using the text field. To turn on device location services please enable it in your device settings. For iOS devices, this can be found in the Settings app. To enable location servers navigate to Settings> Privacy>Location Services. Make sure location services are turned for both your device and our app located in the list view shown. Location settings on Android phones vary by device manufacturer. Please check your device settings section or consult your device manual.

  • Who can I report Starbucks store information that is incorrect?

    If you notice incorrect store information, please contact the Starbucks Customer Care Center at 400-820-6998. Customer Care Center hours of operation are 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM 7 days a week. The Customer Care Center is closed on public holidays.

  • What kind of messages do I receive in the app Inbox?

    The app Inbox will send information about Starbucks new products, promotions and general news. Some messages you receive will be based on your location or Starbucks Rewards™ level.

  • What are pinned messages and how do I add and remove them?

    PIN is a feature that allows you to save messages to the top of your Inbox list for easy access to the information that is most important to you. Simply tap the PIN button either on the Inbox list view or message detail and the message will be saved in pinned messages tab at the top of your Inbox. To view your pinned messages, swipe down or tap the pin bar at the top of the Inbox list view. To close the pinned message tap on the bottom bar or swipe up to close. Unpinning a message is simple. Tap UNPIN from the Inbox list view or message view. Additionally, you may swipe left in the pinned messages list to reveal remove functionality.

  • Some of my messages are gone. Where did they go?

    Messages are automatically removed from your phone after six months including pinned messages.

  • How can I turn off push notifications for Inbox messages?

    Customers with our iOS app may manage push notification preferences through the Apple settings app. Navigate to Settings > Notifications. Simply find the Starbucks China Mobile App in the list and tap to view notification controls. For Android customers notifications may be turned on and off through a toggle in the settings section within the Starbucks China Mobile App.

  • Are you an Android user and would like to install a widget?

    Installing widgets varies depending upon your phone manufacturer. Please consult your user manual to determine how to install widgets on your Android phone.

  • What widgets are available and how do they work?

    We recognize that Android users would like quick access to the most important Starbucks Rewards™ information our app provides. We have created three widgets to allow you to keep track of your Rewards in the way that is best for you. These widgets are available in three sizes (4x3, 4x2, 4x1) to provide flexibility depending on what information you would prefer to have easy access to. Installing widgets varies depending upon your phone manufacturer. Please consult your user manual to determine how to install widgets on your phone. Widgets are only supported on the Android operating system and are not available for iPhone. Widget #1: Our 4x3 widget provides you all of the Starbucks Rewards™ status information available on the app dashboard. If you are Gold level, the widget will tell you how many purchases are required to earn your next free drink. Additionally, the widget will also show what Rewards you have available and when they expire. Widget #2: The 4x2 widget is a simplified version of the 4x3 widget and will provide Welcome and Green members with their Star count to the next level. If you are Welcome or Green level, this will keep you informed of how many Stars required to achieve the next level. Gold members will be able to view the number of purchases required to earn their next free drink. Widget #3: Our 4x1 widget uses the smallest amount of space on your home screen. This widget will show what Rewards are available and when they expire.

  • Has the Android version been updated along with the iOS version?

  • What to do when you forget your password for the passcode lock when scanning the QR code?

    You can try to input your passcode for a maximum of five times. Failing to log in after five times, the App will automatically log out and the passcode will be turned off the next time you log in. If you know that you forgot the passcode beforehand, just log out by clicking “log out“ at the bottom left corner of the screen lock, and then log in again. The passcode will be disabled and you can setup a new passcode.

  • Why can I use the password to log in successfully on the official website but not in the app?

    Recommended special characters to set up your password are $-_.+!*(), any other special characters are not allowed. Other special characters input from a third party keyboard or full-shaped special characters cannot be recognized on the phone configurations and thus cannot be used.
